Law that the judges misunderstood.
Only the woman before Him they stood.
As plaintiffs they claimed the husband’s position,
The Judge in their sites, not sins commission.
Accusers requirements, the Law in their face,
Spoke by the Author they came to deface.
Down on the ground, his finger would draw,
Bitter their waters under His Law.
Trial by ordeal her sins He forgave.
Christ kept the Law. God only saves.
