Once Upon A Time There Were Seven Towers

Postmodern Mud

Tower Seven,
Nine Eleven,
It’s all in the numbers.

Two tall towers,
Gone in hours,
America still slumbers.

Monroe Doctrine,
Half-forgotten,
Constitution fractured.

Bombs and tanks,
Prayers and planks,
Enemies manufactured.

In plain site,
And out of view,
People, planes and embers.

One through Six
The people knew,
But Seven few remember.
