From the dust

From the dust of Eden’s floor,
Living by God’s very breath,
Man progressed away from God,
Choosing sin, in love with death.

Revelation

Universal, audible,
Constant His creation,
Completely inescapable,
His general revelation.

His Holy Word, His masterpiece,
His law, His declaration,
Clean and pure, and right and true,
Empowering salvation.

Natural selection

Is natural selection
God’s automatic writing?
Is God a chef whose soup
Is waiting for some lightning?
Are plants and animals
Steady with Him fighting?
Fallen far are we,
Addicted to His slighting

Modeled

From above His artistry,
Modeled there each little pea,
Spaced out, placed so perfectly,

Stretched his heaven by decree.
Here below we clearly see,
Symbols of eternity.

Isaiah 45:12 – “I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.”

Triune God

Spoke of in three persons,
Our sovereign God above.
His revelation’s certain.
He is much more than love.

The Father of creation,
He only makes what’s good,
And by His exaltation
Creation’s understood.

His Son He took our place,
Our punishment endured,
Amazing saving grace,
Through Him we are secured.

His Spirit leads us here,
And by His Holy Word,
Produces Godly fear,
The love of God conferred.

There is no other God.
He drank our cursed cup.
So awesome is our God.
He takes three persons up.

Nature and order

Nature and order established by God,
Creation respectfully follows His law.

The stone

The stone he made obeyed,
It formed the land you see.
How far mankind has strayed,
Hearts of stone chose we.

Spoke the world

Spoke the world existent
Space and time persistent
Substances consistent
Only man resistant

Swatting absurd

“The image of God”

“Morning and evening”

“After their kind”

Simply receiving

God’s revelation,

Clearly He’s spoken,

Man was made good.

Creatures now broken

Swarm round His Word,

Suppressing their fear,

Swatting absurd

At phrasing so clear.

Legs on a fish

The well where we wish

Creation subsumed

With legs on a fish

Thinking is doomed
