Heaven knows

Heaven knows that Hell won’t sell.

Hope and change the dinner bell

That catches flies with honey,

And conterfeited money.

God leaves such falsity behind,

Appealing to the sinner’s mind

With His actions in real time

Recorded in his Word sublime,

The prophecy now past

Savior hanging from a mast

To right the wrongs of everyone

Believing Him God’s only Son

Who offered up His sacrifice

Full atonement for their life

Saving them from Hell.

Go this Gospel tell.

Cluttered mind

Break my two way mirror,

Blow my smoke away.

Naked in your presence

Clothed within your Way.

Guide me by your spirit

Within your Holy will.

Cluttered mind now clear it.

Teach me to be still.

Philipians 4: 6,7 – “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

(God’s description of the real antagonists, distilled from Psalm 119)

Secretly they make their plea,

Where princes sit and slander me,

Devise their wicked plots and schemes,

These double-minded men of means.

They mock and taunt, smear and devise,

Their callous hearts, are forging lies,

Fat as grease, the psalmist says,

Their setting snares, for righteousness.

They persecute without a cause,

Ignore the truth, and their own laws.

Salvation far, is from these wicked,

Frustrate their plans, evil conflicted.

Make them pay, for doing wrong,

Oppressors mocking, all day long.

They’re simply waiting to destroy,

Taunting me, with some decoy,

When I go down, he’ll rescue me,

The truth, that you refuse to see.

Anti-truth, arrogant foe,

You won’t evade, God’s undertow.
