Wrecking ball,
It wears a smile.
Wrecking ball,
Says just be nice.
Wrecking ball,
A swing with style.
Wrecking ball,
Says don’t think twice.
Wrecking ball,
The past erases.
Wrecking ball,
Denies what’s real.
Wrecking ball,
Steals all the bases.

Pillars and clouds,
Ancient of Days,
Lies for the crowds,
Truth set ablaze.

Trickery’s fits,
Never stay pinned,
Man’s counterfeits,
Can’t cover sin.

Deep in our souls,
God’s fire and smoke,
Filling our holes,
Until we’re awoke.

Snooze refused

A lengthy nap, four days at rest,
His snooze refused, his chest compressed.
Death lets us go at God’s command,
It bows to Holy reprimand.

Made whole

Sin breaks us down,
Body and soul.
Quickened in Him,
Broken, made whole.

Evil for good

Evil for good our enemies heap.
Mute and deaf men we become.
Covering us, though sin covers us deep,
God vindicates men through His Son.

Hearts deceived would harden,
Once the deal was made,
Our market in the garden,
Where we made the trade.

Dress up

We dress up Jesus for a day,
Confess the king, and make our way,
Ignoring all He has to say.

From the dust

From the dust of Eden’s floor,
Living by God’s very breath,
Man progressed away from God,
Choosing sin, in love with death.

With raptures

With raptures agendas are driven.
With sins of remiss and commission.
When lies sympathized are aligned
To scrapbooks our lives are resigned.
